I really llke having extra Probiotic Jar Fido jar lids, around, since I also use Fido Jars as kitchen cannisters, if i ever need another Jar for fermenting, I can just grab a kitchen cannister jar, put a Probiotic Jar fermenting lid on, and "Voila" problem solved.

I am a Goodwill shopper and have been able to find Fido jars there, with regular tops, cheap. The solid lids are great for when my ferments are ready for the refrigerator, freeing up my fermenting tops with the gasket for the water locks. But sometimes due to staggered timing, I was finding all my (3) gasket tops in use! I needed a couple more and was so pleased to be able to just get the tops and pinch bowls from the website. I ordered some new rings for the Goodwill tops and now I'm all set. Even though I didn't order it, there was a bamboo tongs in the package. It's great to have those serve the kraut, especially from deep in the tall jars. Thank you for that!

Slam dunk best way to ferment, so easy and correct and versatile in sizing, everything from 0.5L to 5L. I have standardized on Probiotic Jar and Fidos.

I appreciate that one can just buy the lid system, because I have dozens of 1.5 liter jars already. It is very easy to switch out the lids with these. Great!

I had tried making kefir in a mason jar with a loosened lid, but was having reactions. I gave it up for months, then decided to try again with this lid/fido jar. So far, no reactions! And the grains developed much more quickly this time. This is now the only way I will make kefir.
